LUNA, Apayao – ‘‘Let us continue to live an impactful life by simply serving our clients, especially our patients, with a heart. Always remember: Public service entails love,’’ reminds Congresswoman Leah Bulut-Begtang during the 26th founding anniversary of Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center (FNLGHTC) on March 1, 2024.
In her message, she mentioned the unique similarity of FNLGHTC with Apayao province relative to their establishment, looking back at the sacrifices and labor of love by the Apayao founder Elias K. Bulut Sr.
The congresswoman recounted how Bulut Sr.’s legacy played a great role in the developments the yApayaos now enjoy.
“Just like Apayao province, this hospital was created out of love,” she stated.
Cong. Leah also complimented the concerted efforts exemplified by those people behind the attainment of the dream his father had for Apayao then.
This year’s celebration for FNLGHTC founding anniversary featured the inauguration of the newly-built Molecular Laboratory jointly funded by DOH and the Provincial Government of Apayao during Cong. Leah’s term in 2019-2022.
The congresswoman also pointed out that the “people of Apayao have been given quality and affordable health services without incurring much expenses, and the need of going out from the province,” adding that her office has been doing appropriation of funds to ensure Apayao’s welfare.
The event witnessed the launching of the hospital’s hymn, talents show, and the employees’ recognition for service loyalty and their notable achievements, wherein she encouraged FNLGHTC personnel to aspire beyond mediocre public service.
