LUNA, Apayao – As the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) 2024 approaches, the province is actively preparing for its hosting responsibilities for the biggest regional sporting event.
The Provincial School Board (PSB) convened at the Capitol Conference Hall earlier today, February 6 where Schools Division Office-Apayao (SDO Apayao) Sports Coordinator Marlon Trumpo presented the schedule of activities.
A Kapehan sa DepEd and CARAA Board Meeting is set for February 22-23 to formally announce CARAA 2024 activities to the various media partners through a press conference. Key figures, including the DepEd CAR regional director and other dignitaries, are expected to attend.
The Apayao Provincial Athletic Meet is slated for February 24-26, and in-house training for selected athletes competing in CARAA will commence from March 7 to April 15. CARAA 2024 itself is scheduled for April 16 to 21, 2024.
Following their 1st runner-up finish last year, behind Baguio City, Apayao aims to maintain its strong position in the CARAA standings. With the advantage of hosting, Apayao is poised for another impactful performance on the leaderboard. By JCM
