FLORA, Apayao – The Apayao Training Center (ATC) initiated a 10-day training program on Bread and Pastry Production (BPP), running from December 14 to 23, 2023, at the Santa Maria Gymnasium.
Twenty-five participants from various barangays in Sta. Maria, Balluyan, and Malayugan have enrolled in the said training, which aims to provide necessary knowledge and expertise in bread making. The overarching goal is to enable the trainees to not only enhance their personal culinary skills but also to pave an avenue for additional income, making them become more productive members of the community.
This specialized training equips individuals with the capacity to prepare a variety of products, including pastries and desserts suitable for establishments such as restaurants, hotels, and local bakeries. Participants will gain proficiency in bakery product preparation, honing their skills in bakery decoration, understanding dessert packing procedures, as well as safety awareness with a focus on accident prevention.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion, validating their newly acquired skills.
