TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Tabuk City has generated a total of Php 1,145,666.00 from certificates and clearances issued from January to March 24, this year.
During the flag raising ceremony, SFO2 Raymundo Agabas from BFP Tabuk announced that they had awarded a total of 1,844 Fire Safety Inspection Certificates to compliant Business Establishments based on validation from their fire safety inspectors.
From the same period, a total of 79 Fire Safety Evaluation Clearances were issued prior to the issuance of building permit in compliance with the building plan requirements under Republic Act No. 9514.
It was also reported that a total of 40 Fire Safety Inspection Certificates were issued to compliant buildings applying for occupancy permits. There were 18 Conveyance and Storage Clearances issued.
From the same period, there were 42 government owned buildings inspected to include schools, offices, hospitals, health centers, and barangay halls, in which 21 of them undergone fire drills and lectures on fire safety and disaster preparedness.
As to date, BFP Tabuk City recorded and responded to 4 structural fire incidents, 6 grass fires, and 2 rubbish fires in the city. By Ian Jefrey Addatu
