HINGYON, Ifugao August 07 – Two persons were injured after they were stabbed by their own brother inside their residence at Umalbong, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victims as Edmund Tumitit Nabejet, 22, single and Erizel Nabejet Bihongan while the suspect was named as Elvis Tumitit Nabejet, 24, single, farmer, all residents of Umalbong, Hingyon, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed the suspect, who was allegedly under the influence of liquor, was creating trouble inside their house while holding a knife when her sister tried to pacify him and grabbed the knife but she was accidentally hurt during the commotion.
At this juncture, the suspect then stabbed his younger brother due to still unknown reasons that caused their neighbors to rush him to a nearby hospital but he was later transferred to the Panopdopan District Hospital in Lamut for further medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and is now awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
