TABUK CITY, Kalinga – In response to the need of the residents of Barangay Baulanao Centro to have better roads and other infrastructure, the City Local Government Unit of Tabuk (CLGU) completed 14 projects worth Php 9 million in said barangay last 2021 alone.
The projects ranges from road improvements, opening of roads, installation of solar street lights, construction of a deep well, construction of perimeter fences and the expansion/repair of the Rural Health Unit III.
One barangay resident expressed her gratitude for the road’s concretization, stating that in the past, when it rained, they had difficulty getting to other locations or transferring their harvest from their farm due to the slick mud.
Another resident stated that she feels much safer strolling down their street at night now that the solar street lights have been placed because he can see who he meets at any moment.
This year, the CLGU, led by City Mayor Darwin Estraero, intends to continue said infrastructure initiatives worth Php 55M mostly consisting of road improvements in order to better the lives of not only residents of said barangay, but also visitors who intend to conduct business at Bulanao Centro.
