BAGUIO CITY October 24 – A 40-year old building administrator and contractor was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in his possession an unlicensed firearm with ammunitions during an inspection at East Quirino Hill, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Augusto Naweywey Dangadang, 40, building administrator/contractor, and a resident of Holyghost extension, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed police personnel received a text message from a concerned citizen regarding the presence of the armed suspect in the area.
Upon arrival in the area, the police operatives conducted an inspection of the suspect and found an unlicensed black pistol Bersa Ultra Compact 40 with serial no.B23348 inserted with magazine containing seven ammunition.
The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
