TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Department of Public works and Highways – Lower Kalinga District Engineering Office (DPWH-LKDEO) headed by officer-in-charge Engr. Ruby Uyam was able to receive important and valuable citations not only from concerned government agencies but also from a respected civic organization because of its efficient and effectively discharge of the office’s duties and responsibilities and for actively participating in cause-oriented activities within and outside its areas of jurisdiction.
Earlier, the DPWH-LKDEO was cited by the DPWH-CAR headed by regional director Engr. Khadaffy Tanggol for its sustained efforts to provide the travelling public with safe and well maintained roads and bridges by attaining a final rating of 100 percent, outright compliance, during the Calendar Year (CY) 2020 Road Maintenance Performance Assessment and Rating pursuant to the interim guidelines of Department Order No. 41, series of 2016.
Further, the Philippine Red Cross Kalinga Chapter chaired by Atty. Macario Duguiang also cited the DPWH-LKDEO for supporting the said chapter for the year 2018-2019 that pave the way for the civic organization to help the most vulnerable sectors through various service deliveries, fund raising activities, disaster risk reduction and management and volunteer formation program being always, first, always ready and always there.
Another citation that was received by the DPWH-LKDEO was from the Parish Pastoral Council through Mr. Robert Yaban, Fr. Dante Sardido and Ms. Rhea Lei Padilla for being generous in contributing to the construction of the Fr. Bilbet’s Park and the landscaping of the St. Peter Parish Compound.
District Engineer Uyam expressed her office’s gratitude to the concerned government agencies and the civic organizations that issued the aforesaid citations, saying that the DPWH-LKDEO wants to effectively and efficiently perform its assigned duties and responsibilities and to extend whatever appropriate assistance that is available for the realization of the civic projects of the different cause-oriented groups in the different parts of the province.
DPWH-LKDEO has jurisdiction over the towns of Pinukpuk, Rizal and Tanudan and Tabuk City for the maintenance of national roads and bridges that are located in the said communities.
The DPWH-LKDEO official asserted that the office draws inspiration from the aforesaid citations to further exceed their previous performances and to continue to be of help to the causes of civic organizations that are existing in the province to help in addressing the needs of the heavily impacted residents through various services and programs geared towards improving their existing condition.
