City officials recently requested the Department of Public Works and Highways–Baguio City District Engineering Office (DPWH-BCDEO) and A.P.B Construction to restore the walkway shed fronting the Milton hotel which was dismantled during the road widening project along Kennon Road.
Under Resolution No. 131, series of 2024, local legislators stated that during the deliberations conducted by the body, Poliwes Punong Barangay Ronald Saldaen manifested that a walkway shed was constructed at the sidewalk fronting the Milton Hotel along Kennon road.
Further, during the pre-bid conference of the road widening project, the walkway shed will be dismantled and that the A.P.B. Construction agreed to restore the shed in its place after completing the road widening project for the use of the public.
Earlier, the council considered the manifestations and issues of invited resource persons relative to the implementation of road widening projects within the jurisdiction of barangays Camp 8, San Vicente and Poliwes, including the frontage of Milton Hotel along Kennon Road which was implemented by the A.P.B. Construction under the supervision of the DPWH-BCDEO.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the DPWH-BCDEO and A.P.B. Construction for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action, especially relative to the restoration of the demolished walkway shed in the said area. By Dexter A. See
