BAGUIO CITY May 04 – Joint anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera and local police arrested a member of a local drug group in a sting operation this afternoon along Shanum Street, AZCKO Barangay here.
Robert Banta Serrano alias Robert Banta, 37 years old, resident of Asin Road, Baguio City and a member of a local drug group operating in Baguio and Benguet was nabbed after selling a sachet of suspected shabu with a street value of P3,300 to an undercover agent.
Upon his arrest, Serrano yielded the buy-bust money worth P1,000. He is now temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of a case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act Number 9165 before the proper authorities.
