BUGUIAS, Benguet May 01 – A farmer who has been classified as a high value target was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession approximately P1.36 million worth of shabu and other drug paraphernalia during an anti-drug buy bust operation at Sitio Dontog, Barangay Catlubong, here, Thursday night.
Police authorities identified the arrested drug high value target as Marlon Bayas Ballusong, farmer and a resident of Sitio Dontog, Catlubong, Buguias, Benguet.
Ballusong is said to be the No. 10 drug personality in the region based on the latest target list of the Cordillera offices of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Confiscated by the operating troops from the possession of the suspect were one genuine P1,000.00 bill used as buy-bust money bearing serial no. TR978744, one transparent cellophane containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 200 grams and estimated street value of P1,360,000.00, one improvised tooter, one weighing scale, two lighters without metal flame guide, one scissor, one Nokia keypad cellphone, one pack of small transparent plastic sachet, one rolled aluminum foil and a Bureau of Internal Revenue Identification Card.
The arrested drug personality and the confiscated pieces of evidence from him were immediately brought to the Buguias Municipal Police Station by the operating troops for documentation and the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
