TAYUM, Abra – A 23-year old self-employed man who has been validated as a notorious drug pusher was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession suspected illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence at sitio Deet, here, recently.
Superintendent Mark Pespes, officer-in-charge of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested drug personality as Junel Millare De Mesa, 23, single, self-employed, resident of barangay Deet, Tayum, Abra and barangay Lingtan, Bagued, Abra.
Confiscated from his possession by the operating troops by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Rafael F. Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 58 in Bucay were two pieces small heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing suspected shabu; one piece small open plastic transparent sachet containing suspected shabu residue; six aluminum foil strips; one Caliber .45 pistol M1911A1 Remington with serial number 1228530; one Caliber .45 pistol PT 945 Taurus with serial number NRC85433; one magazine assembly for M1911A1 Caliber.45 loaded with six live ammunition; and one magazine assembly for PT 945 Caliber.45 Taurus loaded with four live ammunition.
The arrested drug personality and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Tayum Municipal Police Station for documentation awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
