LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 36-year old entrepreneur who is listed in the drug watch list and a drug surrenderee died after he was shot to death by an armed suspect that barged into their billairad hall at Pico, here, Tuesday dawn.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincila Police Office, identified the fatality as Osias Wassan Dada-an, 36, married, entrepreneur, a resident Costina Building, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Witnesses informed probers that the victim and his wife were inside their billiard hall when the lone gunman, who was wearing a face mask and a black jacket, suddenly entered the establishment and fired at him several times hitting him on the different parts of his head and body before going outside the billiard hall, then boarded a Tamaraw FX without any license plate number that sped towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple fatal gunshot wounds on his head and body.
Responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team recovered from the crime scene five spent shells of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspect in the perpetration of the crime.
It was learned that the victim was included as a drug personality in the locality and was able to surrender to authorities prior to the shooting incident.
