DOMOLPOS, Tinongdan – Baguio Benguet Eagles Club (BBEC) and Tarlac Elite Eagles Club join LGU Itogon in an outreach program for the residents of Domolpos, Tinongdan recently.
Mayor Bernard S. Waclin commended the charitable works of the club. He said this inspired him to join while envisioning a meaningful partnership between the Eagles and the government. Mayor Bernard Waclin became a member of the Baguio Benguet Eagles Club recently.
Eagles Club provided medicines, slippers, and food packs to every resident.
Chairman of social services, Councilor Norberto Pacio, and Tinongdan Barangay Captain Edwin Atumpag also expressed gratitude to the donors.
“Ang mithiin po talaga ng Agila ay ang makatulong sa kapwa at community service”, said BBEC President Niño Alfonso Torres.
Torres acknowledged the efforts of Eagles member James Kairus for initiating and organizing the outreach program.
LGU Itogon’s counterpart was conducting a medical mission by the Municipal Health Services Office. Rural Health Physician Dr. Marie Jorelyn Bahingawan said they provided consultations, blood typing, laboratory services, and an immunization program. Tinongdan Women’s, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Council (BNC) took part in the medical mission.
Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer, Engr. Cyril Batcagan conducted Information Education Communication (IEC) on disaster preparedness. The MDRRM Office also distributed IEC materials to the residents.
