TABUK CITY, Kalinga May 29 – A 44-year old farmer died after he was shot to death by four still unidentified gun-wielding suspects while he was about to board his motorcycle at Lana, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the fatality as Andrew Tonod Goyagoy, 44 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Bayao, Dugpa, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was called by his relatives and grandson to proceed to Bulanao and while he was about to board his motorcycle, gunshots emanated from behind that caused him to sustain two fatal gunshot wounds on the left side of his body.\
He was immediately rushed by his relatives to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to fatal gunshot wounds on his body.
Responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team recovered from the crime scene several spent shells and deformed slugs of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
