A farmer was seriously hurt when he was stabbed for still unknown reasons in Tuba, Benguet.
The incident happened on August 22, 2018 at about 4:00 PM in front of a store in Camp 3, Kennon Rd, Tuba, Benguet.
Investigation showed that the suspect, Leo Bandao Saguid, 40 years old, married, and resident of Sitio Balayan, Barangay Camp 3 Tuba Benguet, who was allegedly under the influence of liquor challenged the victim, Ariston Mendoza Antonio, 29 years old, single, farmer, native and resident of Sitio Kimmabab, Barangay Camp 3, Tuba, Benguet a fistfight then immediately boxed him.
Marvin Carantes Edwas tried to pacify the suspect but he suddenly drew a knife from his waist then repeatedly stabbed the victim on his head and neck.
As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to Baguio General Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect fled taking with him the knife towards Sitio Goldstream, Camp 4 Kennon Road, Tuba, Benguet.
Hot pursuit operation is being conducted by the personnel of Tuba MPS for the possible arrest of the suspect.
