CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – The Police Regional Office 1 under the leadership of PCSupt Romulo E Sapitula, PRO1 Regional Director strengthens its efforts in regulating the comprehensive law on firearms, ammunitions and explosives and takes a firm stand in maintaining peace and order of the region.
At 7:00 in the morning, August 22, 2018 in Brgy. Ballag, Bani, Pangasinan, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office implemented Search Warrant Nr. 148-018 for Violation of Republic 10591 and Search Warrant Nr 149-018 Violation of Republic 9516 issued by Honorable Judge Mervin Jovito Samadan of RTC Branch 70 of Burgos Pangasinan, against Norberto Nacino Necesito, 29 years old and a resident of Bani, Pangasinan.
The said police operation resulted in the arrest of Necesito and seizure of: one Colt 1911 cal. .45; 23 pieces Cal. .45 ammunition; 22 pieces Cal 5.56 MM ammunition; 2 pieces magazine for Cal. .45; a piece of M16 magazine; a hand grenade and a rifle grenade.
“I obliged the men and women of Police Regional Office 1 to exert more efforts in ensuring the safety of the community especially against criminality that infiltrate the region,’’ PCSupt Sapitula said.
PCSupt Sapitula further averred that as of August 16, 2018 up to present, nine (9) more firearms were recovered and confiscated through the continuous conduct of police operations regionwide.
He also ordered the conduct of ballistic examination and cross matching on the confiscated firearms that might link to other crimes in the region.
Necesito, together with the confiscated items. were brought to CIDG Pangasinan PFU Alaminos City Office for proper documentation.
