Conner, Apayao – A foreigner was found dead inside the bathroom of the home his live-in partner at Sitio Hanhan, Brgy. Malama, here, in the morning of February 21, 2018.
The foreigner was identified as Arif Salem Khamis Al-Raisi, from Muscat, Oman, live-in partner of Rowena Asco Bautista, 49, single, former OFW. Both are residents of Sitio Hanhan, Brgy. Malama, Conner, Apayao.
According to a spot report from Apayao Provincial Police Office, Investigation disclosed that the daughter of Bautista noticed that their bathroom was locked for several minutes on said date.
She recalled she saw the saw the victim sitting in their porch at around 8:00 AM and was presumed to be the one using the bathroom when he was no longer there at the time the bathroom door was locked.
When the bathroom was still locked for several more minutes, the daughter decided tell her mother the incident, who immediately went and peeped through the flooring of the flash door and saw his live in partner lying down on the floor.
She destroyed the door knob and found him unconscious lying left side down.
She immediately sought assistance from their neighbors and rushed the victim at San Juan Medical and Maternity Clinic, at Brgy. Ili, Conner, Apayao but was pronounced Dead on Arrival by the attending physician.
Initial examination showed no signs of physical injury or foul play and the cause of death was undeterminable.
The body was transferred to the Cagayan Valley and Medical Center (CVMC) for further examination or possible autopsy.
