VILLAVICIOSA, Abra – A 31-year old government worker died after he was shot to death by a still unidentified assailants along the pathway leading to their farm at Tuquib, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Jonathan Salimbay Lagen, 31, married, government employee and a resident of Tuquib, Villaviciosa, Abra
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions went to tend their tobacco in their farm when his companions decided to go back to their house to get some tools.
When his companions went back to their farm, his brother was surprised to find the victim sprawled bloodied on the ground with blood oozing from his head due to a lone gunshot wound.
He was rushed to the Villaviciosa District Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
The motive of the incident is yet unknown while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation.
