MANKAYAN, Benguet – A 14-year old Grade 9 pupil was injured after he was stabbed by still unidentified knife-wielding individuals at the golf course, Sapid, here Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, declined to divulge the identity of the minor victim but described him to be a resident of Nursery, Sapid, Mankayan, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim sought the assistance of a concerned resident in the area who rushed him to the Lepanto District Hospital for emergency medical treatment of the lone stab wound he sustained on his stomach before he was transferred to the Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and further observation.
Responding police operatives scoured the possible crime scene for the arrest of the suspect but their efforts were in vain, thus, he conduct of further investigation.
