ITOGON, Benguet – A 9-year old Grade 2 pupil died after he allegedly drowned in a deep portion of one of the swimming pools in a private resort at Level 1300, Poblacion, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Kurt Adrian Arguilles Ringor, 9, grade 2 pupil, and a resident of Sunny Side, Fairview, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that no one among the victim’s relatives saw him swim in a deeper portion of the swimming pool considering that most of them were busy at that time until his body was seen by his cousin in the bottom of the pool.
The victim was brought to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Itogon where he was given first aid treatment before being rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for further medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
The victim’s remains was brought home by his relatives for him to be given a descent wake and burial.
Probers are ascertaining whether or not there was foul play in the victim’s untimely demise.
