Kiangan, Ifugao – A laborer died after accidentally falling from a 10-meter porch during the dawn of February 16, 2018 at Ibulao, Baguinge, here.
According to a report from the APD of the Ifugao Provincial Police Office, the body of Bernardo Tumasig Abon, 58, single, carpenter and resident of Alupapan, Lamut, Ifugao was found at the basement of a Café and Restaurant where the victim was working.
Initial Investigation disclosed that the victim, together with his six companions, all workers at the 4th floor of the building, had a drinking session after work on February 15, 2018 on the same floor they were working, after which they all retired by 7:00PM.
In the early morning of February 16, 2018, a co-worker awakens all his companions to have breakfast but victim was missing so they tried to locate him.
His cadaver, instead, was found at the side of the basement of the building.
Further investigation shows that from the fourth floor, victim accidentally fell on the ground more or less 10 meters height when he was about to urinate at the porch without railings.
Municipal Health officer Dr. Cherry Guyguyon Namuhje determined that the victim died from multiple injuries on the different body parts and declared the victim dead more than three (3) hours.
The victim was brought by his immediate families at Alupapan, Lamut, Ifugao to be given a decent burial and wake.
