TADIAN, Mountain Province – A 28-year old labourer died after he accidentally fell in a fish pond while walking along the side of the road at Dogodog, Poblacion, here, Monday night.
Police authorities identified the victim as Cris Banban Guidangen, 28, male, single, laborer, and a resident of Poblacion, Tadian, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed the victim joined a group of individuals for a drinking session inside an auto repair shop when he decided to leave the place.
However, his lifeless body was found by concerned citizens floating face down in a fish pond below the road several hours after leaving the drinking session.
Probers theorized that his head hit his forehead before drowning in the said pond.
Concerned medical legal officers declared that the victim died due to drowning and his remains was brought by his relatives to their residence for his usual wake and burial.
