BAGUIO CITY – A 34-year old laborer was injured after he was allegedly stabbed in his abdomen by still unidentified assailants while he and his companions were on their way to buy vegetables inside the public market, here, on New Year’s Day.
Police authorities identified the victim as Leo Asis De Vera, 34, married, laborer, and resident of No. 252 Purok 2, Balsigan BC.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions came from a drinking session from a liquor establishment at the roof deck of the Maharlika Livelihood Center and wherein route to the public market to buy vegetables before going home.
However, when his companions looked back to locate his whereabouts considering that he was left behind, they saw the victim rushing towards them with blood oozing from his abdomen.
The victim was immediately rushed by his companions to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment where he was immediately brought to the operating room for further treatment while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation by concerned police operatives for them to answer for the crime they committed.
