BAGUIO CITY – A 29-year old labourer was hurt after he was stabbed by an assailant while they were having a drinking session inside a night spot along Military Cut-off here recently.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Jeffrey Morales Juan, 29, married, laborer, and presently residing at No. 27 Pocsosan, Mines View, Baguio City while he named the suspect to be a certain Arvi Apollo, a resident of Outlook drive, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, together with two companions, went to a establishment along Military Cut-off to continue their drinking session but upon arrival in the said night spot, he chanced upon the suspect who was with other companions and allegedly joined them, thus, his companions reportedly left him.
After several hours of drinking, the suspect reportedly got mad, mauled the victim and stabbed him on his back before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by bystanders and concerned citizens to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation for him to face attempted homicide charges being prepared against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
