A farmer was arrested for allegedly stabbing two other farmers in Buguias, Benguet.
Personnel from the Bugias Municipal Police Station responded to a distress call from a resident, informing them of the incident that happened at Kagam-es, Amgaleyguey, Buguias, Benguet and that the victims were already rushed to the Lutheran Hospital, in Abatan, Buguias, Benguet.
When they proceeded at said place of incident, the operatives were able to arrest the suspect identified as Jerry Tejada Cadano, 42 y/o, single, farmer, native of Beti, Aritao, Nueva Viscaya and presently residing at Lower Cagam-es, Amgaleyguey, Buguias, Benguet. A kitchen knife was also recovered from the suspect.
Follow up investigation conducted revealed that one of the victims, Mathew Banagyo Chinaman, 25, single, farmer of Mayaoayao, Ifugao, was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician, suffering from a lone stab wound on his right chest area. The other victim, Reynold Banggao Gumintang, 23, single, farmer of Ubaw, Aguinaldo, Ifugao, sustained a stab wound on his left armpit and is now under observation.
The three persons were allegedly drunk before the incident.
The suspect is now under the custody of Buguias MPS for further investigation and documentation.
