LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 23-year old man was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after he was caught in the act of allegedly receiving money from his victim at the back of the Benguet General Hospital, Pico, here, recently.
Police Maj. Cliff Vencio, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the suspect as Narlyvanne Bautista Tavares, 23, a native of Dagupan City, Pangasinan and a resident of Ledesma St., Aurora Hill, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect was caught receiving money from the suspect in exchange for a still undisclosed item that was taken from the victim, Robert Chatay Tufay, 65, a native of Guinaang, Bontoc, Mountain Province, a retired police officer and a resident of Ledesma St. Aurora Hill, Baguio City.
The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
