LA TRINIDAD, Benguet March 28 – A 41-year old farmer was found dead by his relatives near a tree within the Busol watershed at Upper Ambiong, here, Monday.
Chief Inspector Benson Macli-ing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the fatality as Esculy Ponciano Daniwis, 41, married, farmer, a Barangay Volunteer as Nursery Maintenance, and presently residing at AU-261 Upper Ambiong, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim asked permission from his son that he will go to the forest to do something carrying with him his chainsaw and promised that he will be back in a few hours.
However, his son was alarmed over the failure of his father to return home within the promised time prompting him to go to the area where he went and was accompanied by another relative and proceeded to the area where his lifeless body was found.
The victim was brought to their residence awaiting the decision of his wife whether or not his body will be subjected to autopsy.
