BAGUIO CITY – A 26-year old man died after he allegedly hanged himself inside their rented room due to alleged personal problems at Private Road New Lucban, here, Sunday night.
Police authorities identified he alleged suicide victim as Paul Angelo Felomino de la Pena, 26, single, and native of Binalonan, Pangasinan.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, together with his girlfriend and several companions, went to his newly rented room to visit the place. After a few moments, his girlfriend and companions decided to go to visit the mall while he was left behind.
When his girlfriend tried calling him on his mobile phone several hours later, he did not respond that prompted them to immediately go back to the victim’s rented room and to their surprise, they found his body nagging on the terrace with a nylon cord tied around his neck while the other end was tied on the steel trust of the room.
The victim was rushed to the Notre Dame hospital for medical treatment but he expired several hours later due to alleged strangulation.
Probers were informed by the victim’s brother that he received a call from him ventilating his problems about his girlfriend but the former told him to be sober.
The victim’s remains is expected to be brought to his hometown for him to be given a decent burial.
