LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 42-year old man was injured after he was hacked several times on his head by a store owner during a drinking session at Bineng, here, Sunday night.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Willy Liclican Bautista, 42, while the suspect was identified as Roger Bentican Caplis, 35, married, farmer, both native and resident of Bineng, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect, together with some companions, had a drinking session inside the store of the suspect. After a few moments, the suspect allegedly mauled his brother-in-law that prompted the victim to pacify them.
However, the victim’s brother threw a bottle to the suspect that hit him on the head which caused him to immediately go inside their house, grabbed a bolo and went out.
While outside their house, the suspect allegedly attacked him forcing him to hack the former four times on his head.
The victim and the suspect were both rushed to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment wherein the former manifested that he is not interested to pursue the filing of charges against the latter.
