ITOGON, Benguet march 20 – A 35-year old man was injured after he was stabbed by his drinking partner in a store at Proper Dalupirip, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the victim as Mark Bilino Losnong, 35, married, and a resident of Sitio Ayosip, Dalupirip while the arrested suspect was named as Andrew Apero Bentres, 36, married, and a resident of Twin River, Poblacion, both of Itogon, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect had a drinking session in a store in the place of incident when a heated altercation erupted between them.
After a few moments, the suspect brought out a knife and stabbed the victim several times on the different parts of his body that caused concerned residents to rush him to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment.
Responding police operatives arrested the armed suspect and confiscated the knife which he used in the said incident and that he is now awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
