TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A young man was hurt after he was allegedly hacked by a labourer inside a restaurant at Purok 6, Bulanao, here, Tuesday night.
Police authorities identified the victim as Edmar Manuel while the suspect was named as Romel Buriaga Aggaraw, 29, single, Tonnix laborer and a resident of Purok-6, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions went inside the restaurant to fetch their female friends who were reportedly drinking liquor.
At this juncture, the group of the suspects suddenly interfered that resulted to a heated altercation.
The suspects then proceeded to the kitchen, grabbed a bolo and then hack the victim once that resulted to him suffering from multiple hack wounds on his head.
The victim was rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and now detained at the Tabuk City Police Office awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
