LAGANGILANG, Abra – A 15-year old out-of-school youth (OSY) died after he allegedly jumped from the top of a passenger jeepney and banged his head and body on the concrete pavement at Tagudtud, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Oliver Garcia Reyes, 15 years old, OSY and a resident of Sitio Libsong, barangay Ginginabang, Lacub, Abra while the driver suspect was named as Saldimar Caybo Ibay, 33, married, driver and a resident of Poblacion, Lacub, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim boarded the vehicle and decided to stay on top of the passenger jeepney when upon reaching the place of incident, he suddenly jumped off the vehicle that caused his head and body to be banged on the concrete pavement.
The victim was rushed to the St. Therese Wellness Center for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
