TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Tabuk City Police Station has a new designated Deputy Chief of Police.
During the recent flag ceremony Police Chief Inspector Sahibon Mamantal presented himself to the city local government officials. In a message, the police from Mindanao expressed his appreciation of Tabuk City and its people.
He then appealed for the city government to continue supporting the plans and programs of the PNP especially on peace and order.
Meanwhile, the Tabuk PNP had been visiting schools and barangays to conduct lectures on Republic Act 7610 or the act against Child abuse and the anti-bullying act of 2013 in celebration of the National Children’s Month Celebration 2017 this November with the theme “Bata: Iligtas sa Droga.”
This theme, which was approved by the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), is in support to the administration’s fight against illegal drugs.
Republic Act No. 10661 declares the month of November of every year as National Children’s Month. This declaration commemorates the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations General Assembly and also seeks to instil its significance in the Filipino consciousness.
