TINGLAYAN, Kalinga – The Kalinga Police Provincial Office recovered more than P2,178,000.00 worth of marijuana that was found abandoned along the roadside of the National Road at Sitio Ngilin, Poblacion, Tinglayan, Kalinga Sunday morning.
Personnel of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Kalinga PPO and Tinglayan Municipal Police Station recovered 19 pieces of marijuana bricks with an estimated weight of 18,150 grams after responding to a reported marijuana bricks wrapped placed inside the 2 boxes which were covered with wrapped dried fish and placed on the roadside.
The operatives are presently conducting follow up investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
The on-site inventory was conducted in the presence of Media representative and Barangay Captain of Poblacion, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Meanwhile, the found marijuana bricks were brought to Tinglayan MPS.
