BAGUIO CITY April 19 – A 21-year old painter was injured after he was accidentally electrocuted when the metal pipe handed to him by his fellow labourer got in touch with the main line of the Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) at the Y-shaped overpass along Magsaysay Avenue, here, Tuesday afternoon.
Police authorities identified the victim as Virgilio Rondon Paguel, 21, single, painter and a resident of Bonifacio St., Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions were busy assembling the scuffldoings in preparation for their work when he was handed a metal pipe by one of his colleagues that accidentally got in touch with the BENECO main line that caused his electrocution and his subsequent fall from the structure.
He was immediately rushed by his companions to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment where he is now undergoing close medical supervision for the injuries he sustained as a result of the accident.
