Baguio City – Saint Louis University President Gilbert Sales announced the suspension of classes in all levels as well as work in all offices in the university, with the exception of the SLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart, the Halfway Home for Boys and dormitories, starting 1:00 PM today, August 25, 2017 due to the threat of typhoon Jolina.
As of 11:00 am Today, PAGASA placed Benguet, including Baguio City, under signal number 2.
PAGASA reported that Jolina had Maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph. It is forecasted to move West Northwest at 19 kph. Jolina is expected to further intensify before making landfall over Isabela-Aurora area this evening
Among the provinces under signal number 2 are Isabela, Northern Aurora, Quirino, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Sur, Benguet, Abra, La Union and Nueva Vizcaya.
Cagayan including Babuyan group of islands, Apayao, rest of Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Northern Quezon including Polillo island, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur are under signal number 1.
