SM Foundation is accepting graduating Grade 12 students who were not able to apply online for the College Scholarship Program. SM Foundation will now accommodate walk-in applicants for the said scholarship.
Qualified graduating grade 12 students may avail of this opportunity for as long as they have P150,000 or less household income per year, supported by a BIR Income Tax Return; and Grade 12 weighted average grade of at least 88% in the second or third grading period. Also, private high school graduates with DepEd voucher after completing Grade 10 from public schools may apply.
Exam schedule in SM City Baguio will be on March 14, 2018 at 10am in the mall’s Event Center. An interview will follow in the afternoon for those who pass the exam.
Students are advised to wear complete uniform and bring a photocopy of their Grade 12 report card, a photocopy of the BIR Income Tax Return or Certificate of Non-filing of Income Tax and a ballpen.
Courses offered are BS in Accountancy, BS in Accounting Information Systems, BS in Internal Auditing, BS in Management Accounting, BS in Computer Science, BS in Information Technology, BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering, BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Elementary Education, BS in Secondary Education major in Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics and Physics.
The college scholars will receive full tuition fee assistance, monthly allowance, part-time job opportunities during Christmas and semestral breaks, exclusive job offers with the SM group upon graduation and other fun-filled activities and enrichment programs. For Baguio City and Benguet, the accredited schools are Saint Louis University, University of the Philippines- Baguio and University of the Cordilleras.
