LA TRINIDAD, Benguet August 22 – A 24-year old third year criminology student died after he allegedly hanged himself inside his room at Sunflower subdivision, Alno, here, Sunday.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the fatality as Joel Bayacsan Baday, 24, single, male, 3rd year criminology student at the Kings College of the Philippines, native of Sto. Niño, Tublay, Benguet and a resident of Sunflower subdivision, Alno, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim allegedly drank liquor the night before the incident and proceeded to his room several hours later.
However, his relatives noticed that he never came out of his room that prompted them to peep in one of the windows and to their surprise, they saw his lifeless body hanging on the ceiling of his room with a nylon cord tied around his neck.
His friends informed probers that he allegedly sent goodbye messages to them the night before after he allegedly broke up with his girlfriend shortly before the said incident.
