Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – Anti-illegal drug operatives arrested two drug personalities and seized a total of Php 34,000.00 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Ifugao and Abra on Friday afternoon, June 11, 2021.
Based on the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the arrested suspects were identified as Limbert Martin Mallari, 42, businessman, resident of Santa Maria, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao, and listed as a High-Value Individual (HVI); and Odelle Balmaceda, 37, resident of Brgy Calumbaya, Dolores, Abra and a newly identified drug personality.
In Ifugao, suspect Mallari was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu with estimated weigh of 0.3 Mol gram worth PHP 2,040.00 each to an operative who acted as poseur-buyer.
In the course of arrest, operatives confiscated from him about four grams suspected shabu worth PHP 27,200.00, an empty sachet with a suspected shabu residue, seven empty plastic sachets, two folded aluminum foils, the buy-bust money, lighter, scissors, car key, brown Toyota Fortuner and the cellphone used in the transaction.
Further investigation revealed that Mallari has been monitored for his alleged drug peddling taking supplies from Manila and Santiago City, Isabela. Currently, he is under the custody of Alfonso Lista MPS.
Meanwhile, suspect Balmaceda was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu worth Php 6,800.00 to an undercover operative in Sitio Tawali, Barangay Calumbaya, Dolores, Abra. Also, seized from his possession were the buy-bust money and a Suzuki motorcycle used in the transaction.
Both arrested drug personalities are set to be charged for Violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or RA 9165 (Possession and Selling of Dangerous Drugs). (PROCOR-PIO)
