BONTOC, Mountain Province – Provincial Administrator (PA) Franklin C. Odsey shared his observation on the performance of the employees of the provincial government in his message during today’s (August 29, 2023) flag ceremony cum Tuesday Program hosted by the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO).
“I observed that we are good employees and have become better employees because of our unity under the able leadership of our minamahal na Gobernador. Let us continue with this unity,” he said.
Odsey also informed that the Four-Day Training-Workshop on Roads and Bridges Information System cum Geotagging Information System (RBIS-GIS) will be conducted from August 29 to September 1, 2023. The RBIS – GIS training/ workshop is being held, in partnership with the Central Office of the Department of Interior and Local Government, and will be participated in by members and the technical working group of the provincial government’s Local Road Management Team.
Moreover, General Services Officer Victorino A. Dines advised all offices to prepare for the inventory of all the property, plant, and equipment (PPE) of the provincial government. He said that the measure aims to synchronize the PGSO’s PPE records with that of the Provincial Accounting Office and for data cleansing purposes.
Meanwhile, the PGSO presented a dance and songs that earned applause from their audience. Also, trivia questions about the “Buwan ng Wika” (August) and about the PGSO’s vision as an office were asked. Participants who were able to give the correct answers were given in-kind and cash prizes.
PGSO Supervising Administrative Officer Nazario F. Pagteilan, Jr. who acted as emcee said that it is good to practice speaking in Filipino considering that it is the country’s national language.
In addition, he said that their song, “Kapaligiran,” is a reminder of every employee’s responsibility toward the environment, especially so that September is Civil Service Month (CSC) and that tree-planting is one of the activities being conducted in celebration of the said CSC month. By MP PIO
