BAGUIO CITY – A 51-year old widow died after she accidentally fell on a 6-feet deep creek while cleaning a riprap wall at Parapad, North Sanitary Camp, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Marjorie Patterson Carame, 51, widow, and a resident of Parapad, North Sanitary Camp, Baguio City.
Witnesses informed probers that they saw the victim cleaning the riprap wall near a creek when they heard someone fall on the creek after a few minutes.
When they turned to see what happened, they saw that the widow was no longer in the place where was earlier seen cleaning that prompted them to seek assistance.
Concerned residents and responding rescuers were able to recover the body of the victim from the creek and immediately applied first aid but she later expired.
Probers are still ascertaining whether or not there was a foul play in the victim’s untimely demise.
