BAGUIO CITY – A 77-year old woman died after she was allegedly robbed inside her residence and then hit on the head with a hard object by still unidentified suspects at Richview Square, Bakakeng Norte/Sur, here, Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Ramil L. Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim of robbery with homicide as Lourdes Abalos Teodoro, 77, and a resident of Richview Square Subdivision, Bakakeng Norte/Sur, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim’s daughter arrived home and was surprised to see the master’s bedroom ransacked with the lifeless body of her mother sprawled on the floor.
Initial items that were allegedly taken by the still unidentified burglars who escaped through the backdoor of the victim’s residence were jewelries amounting to P500,000 and cash having a total of P25,000.
The victim was allegedly hit by the suspects with a hard object that could have caused her instantaneous death considering that the incident might have happened during the day.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team and responding police operatives are still conducting a followup operation to ascertain the possible identities of the suspects.
