BANGUED, Abra – A 37-year old woman was hurt after he was manhandled and stabbed by his own live-in partner during a heated altercation inside their house at Crisologo Compound, Ubbog-Lipcan, here, recently.
Superintendent Mark Pespes, officer-in-charge of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Jonalyn Tagala Billedo, 34, married, self-employed while he named the suspect as his own live-in partner, Roderick Balweg Benemerito, 39, driver both are residents of Crisologo Compound, Ubbog-Lipcan, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was preparing their dinner when the drunk suspect arrived and confronted her about their debt in a nearby store.
The victim allegedly sarcastically answered the suspect that reportedly irked him forcing him to throw away their good and punch her several times.
A commotion suddenly ensued after the victim was able to grab a knife but it was forcibly taken away from her by the suspect which he used to stab her.
The victim was rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was able to escape and now the subject of a manhunt operation for him to face the consequences of his actions.
