TUBA, Benguet – A 41-year old jeepney driver died while eight individuals were injured after their vehicle allegedly rammed into a concrete drainage, tilted on its right side before turning upside down in front of a store at Tebag, Camp 1, here, recently.
Chief Inspector Jim Hilario, chief of the Tuba Municipal Police Station, identified the fatality as Jimmy Castro Quitoriano, 41, and a resident of Angeles City, Pampanga while the injured individuals were named as Gerald Bonaobra, Jenny Ann Bonaobra, Sofia Angela Bonaobra, Anjanete Quitoriano, Alona Quitoriano, Erlinda Quitoriano, Saturnino Quitoriano all from Angeles City, Pampanga.
Initial police investigation showed the jeepney driven by the victim was bound for Baguio City when it accidentally rammed into a concrete drainage, tilted on his right side and turned upside down.
The victim and the other injured passengers were brought to the Rosario District Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the injured passengers were subjected to further medical treatment.
The case is still subject to further investigation by the responding police operatives.
