The week-long anti-illegal drugs operation of Police Regional Office Cordillera has resulted in the arrest of 16 drug personalities while a total of Php 5,527,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were eradicated from April 3 to April 9, 2022.
Citing the records of PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), for the week, Baguio CPO recorded the highest number of arrests with 11 arrested drug personalities followed by Kalinga PPO with three arrested drug personalities. Benguet PPO and Apayao PPO both recorded one arrest each.
In Baguio City, arrested personalities were identified as Alexander Dayawon, 52; Jomar Gamboa, 25; Elton John Cawas, 24; Froniel Jack Basa, 34; Eric Sacyafen, 50; Armando Estela Jr., 42; Vicente Sapguian Jr., 36; Mark Morales, 34; James Calventas, 36; and Rolly Carranza, 25.
While in Kalinga, arrested personalities were Christian Tercero, 23; Billy Domingo, 28; and Vincent Donggalob, 17.
In Benguet and Apayao, arrested personalities were Noel Figaeroa, 26, and Chester Mark Dutoc, 25.
The separate buy-bust operations conducted resulted in the seizure of a total of 16.1525 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price amounting to Php 109,837.00, the confiscation of 7006 grams of dried marijuana leaves & stalks with an SDP of Php 840,720.00, and 585 ml of marijuana oil with an SDP of Php 29,250.00.
All arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, the marijuana eradication conducted in Kibungan, Benguet led to the destruction of a total of 3,910 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with an SDP of Php 782,000.00 and 6,000 grams of Marijuana stalks with an SDP of Php 720,000.00.
In Tulgao West, Kalinga, a total of 10,500 pieces of FGMJP worth Php 2,100,000.00; 15,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 1,800,000.00; and 5,000 grams of marijuana seeds with an SDP of Php 125,000.00 were destroyed by the operatives.
