TUBA, Benguet – Five passengers of a Manila-bound passenger bus were hurt after their vehicle bumped the rear portion of a 10-wheeler truck within the vicinity of the viaduct along Marcos highway, Badioan here 5:45 pm Friday.
Chief Inspector Jim Hilario, chief of the Tuba Municipal Police Station, said both the passenger bus and the truck were proceeding towards the lowlands when the bus suddenly bumped the rear portion of the truck.
Because of the impact of the collision, five passengers of the bus were injured and were subsequently rushed by rescuers and responding police operatives to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC).
Hilario said the case is still under investigation to ascertain the responsibilities of both parties to the incident.
The involved vehicles were a 10wheeler truck bearing license plate number AWB-228 while the Victory bus bore the license plate number CXS-923.
