Abandoned narra lumber were recovered by the Pudtol Municipal Polise Station last October 10, 2018 at Pudtol, Apayao.
The incident was reported by Leticia Balag, Punong Barangay of Balag, Pudtol. Balag informed the Pudtol MPS at around 1:00PM that there were unidentified individuals hauling lumbers along the Apayao River.
Personnel of the Pudtol MPS proceeded at the area and conducted patrol along the River on board a motor boat. At about 3:00 AM on October 11, 2018, they were able to recover Narra flitches at the river bank. They checked the area for possible arrest of the suspect/s but yielded negative.
Subsequently, the recovered Narra flitches were inventoried by the personnel of CENRO Calanasan-Luna Sub Office, Luna, Apayao. The 107 pieces of Narra flitches with a total scale of 1,428 board feet and market value of Php64, 260.00 were brought to Pudtol MPS for safekeeping.
