LUNA, Apayao – The legal landscape in the province is set to welcome 11 new legal luminaries as the 2023 Bar exam results were officially released by the Supreme Court (SC) of the Philippines on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Out of the 10,387 examinees, 36.77 percent, or 3,812 individuals, successfully hurdled the examination.
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Apayao Chapter proudly announced the names of the newest legal minds from the province. Successful examinees are Atty. Lean-klair Jan Batara Gamatero, Atty. Heinz Jayshree Ordillo Laforteza, Atty. Mark Anthony Cascayan Tungpalan, Atty. Vernon Sevilla Talattag, Atty. Rina Valerie Areola Cafirma, Atty. Nora Jane Binunag Pascua, Atty. Miller Paulo Dacumos Bilag, Atty. Apolinario Bog-ac Eboy, Jr., Atty. Rafael Louise Talimbatog Roca, Atty. Frelia Villano Palattao, and Atty. Charles Jeremy Kindipan Agunos.
Conducted digitally on September 17, 20, and 24, the 2023 Bar exam marked the return to the September schedule after 13 years. The SC organized two batches of Bar passers for the year, with the successful 2022 Bar examinees having already taken their oath and signed the Roll of Attorneys in May.
The upcoming batch, including the 11 successful lawyers from Apayao, is scheduled to take their oath and sign the roll on December 22, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
IBP Apayao Chapter President Atty. Zaide Ravelo anticipates the impact of these 11 newly minted lawyers in shaping the legal landscape of the province and contributing to the pursuit of justice.
