LUNA, Apayao – The provincial government extended its sincerest appreciation and commendation to the Philippine Air Force (PAF) team for their instrumental role in the timely and efficient lifting of goods and assistance during the relief operations after the devastating Super Typhoon (ST) Egay.
Led by Major Cristel S. Jumangit PAF, along with Colonel Glenn S. Piquero PAF, 1st Lieutenant Jackson M. Magday PAF, Staff Sergeant Ronald F. Sarcia PAF, and Staff Sergeant John Joseph R. Portales PAF, the team exemplified dedication and commitment in aiding the affected communities in the province.
As the ST Egay wreaked havoc in the province, causing widespread destruction and displacing thousands, the PAF team swiftly sprang into action, providing crucial aerial support to ensure the delivery of essential goods and assistance to those in need.
In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the PAF team received well-deserved tokens and certificates of commendation. The content of the certificate expressed the provincial government ‘s deep gratitude and recognition of their commendable service during the disaster relief operations.
During the certificate awarding ceremony, Provincial Administrator Atty. Edmar Pascua praised the PAF team for their selflessness and dedication, acknowledging that their actions significantly contributed to the swift recovery and rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of the natural disaster.
“We are grateful to the PAF for their invaluable support in our time of need. Their heroic efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of the affected yApayaos,” said the Provincial Administrator.
Major Jumangit, on behalf of the team, expressed their gratitude for the recognition and emphasized that their dedication to serving the Filipino people would continue, no matter the challenges they face.
It can be recalled that Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. ordered for the immediate conduct of relief operations after the onslaught of ST Egay. He likewise requested the help of PAF and the Philippine Army in the said undertaking. By JC Marquez
